The Body Shop Xmas 2012 press release + bloggersevent

Christmas is coming! Woohoo! Which means gifts & joy (Well in my family we don't really buy presenst for each other, but only a family diner)! Like I said The Body Shop organised a Xmas bloggersevent in their Amsterdam PULSE store. They launches their Christmas Seasonals, Wintertrend make up and gifts 2012.

The Christmas Seasonals are based on 3 Christmassy scents: Vanilla, Cranberry and Ginger.Vanilla  has a quite sweet scent, Cranberry has a light, subtle nice scent and Ginger is a bit spicy. The 3 scents of the Seasonals comes in hand wash & lotion, body butter, body polish, shimmer lotion, shower gel, soaps, lipbalm, fragrance oil and a reed diffuser. It also comes in Bath Crystals, but these are unfortunately not available in the Benelux.

I'm not really a fan of the 3 scents to be honest. But I do like the Cranberry the most because it has the most subtle scents to it. I also like the reed diffuser (which was really popular among the Dutch press).

The Wintertrend make up collection is very beautifully sleek packed, with amazing products. This collection contains of 2 eye palettes in moonstone (smoky brown with a white and brown shimmer, dark brown matte en a creamy golden highlighter) and smoky copper (with a white, orange toned copper, brown toned copper and dark brown shimmers, 2 glitter sparkles in dazzling copper and enchanting gold. It also contains a round container  of dazzling rocks, which are light beige and brown shimmer pearls for face & body (no eyes!), which comes with a slanted kabuki brush. Wintertrend also comes with 4 eye definers in Copper Brown, Golden Brown, Moonstone and Pure Gold. And also 4 Colourglide lipsticks in Copper Mine, Rare Coral, Rose Quartz and Ruby Sparkle.

I really love this make up collection. I own the 2 eye pallettes and dazzlings rocks. I looove the eyepalettes, wich are very compact and pretty . Very shimmery and festive for the holidays. The slanted brush works also very fine. Good for contouring the face. I haven't tried the lipsticks yet, but the colours looks amazing for the holidays too. I'm also very excited about the eye definers, which are quite creamy to work with.

At last but not least, wait, this must be the most fun part of the collection are the Gifts! If I need a present for my friends or family, The Body Shop has the most luxe and prettiest gifts ever. Comes in pretty packaging and lovely scented products. Whether you want a expensive or a inexpensive gift, The Body Shop has it all for every one and every kind!

Aren't these gifts super cute?! I personally really love the Body Butter Lollipop. They also have a lot of gift sets in the regular scents like Moringa, White Musk etc. The cute gingerbreadman mirror is also super duper cute, together with the tin!
The product above, which is the Schoolhouse Gift, is a very special one. This pretty schoolbox is designed and made by GPI (Get Paper Industries), one of the Community Fair Trade supplier of The Body Shop. GPI supports 7 schools and the education of children in Nepal. A lovely product with a lovely deed.

Like I said in my last post, organising the Xmas bloggerevent was very hectic, but very fun with the bloggers and collegues. I met old & new amazing bloggers, a few told me a lot of blogging tips&trick which I really apprecciate. There was a tea&cocktail bar and a DJ, which are set up by Tea Forté. We also had different vega bites. The bloggersevent has actually three sections, which are The Body Shop's values: Look Good, Feel Good and Do Good. At the section Look Good, we had the Wintertrend make up, which bloggers van get free makeovers. At the section Feel Good, we had the Seasonal bath&body, which bloggers can get a hand massages with the body butters. At last but not least we had our own Do Good section, which we had one of our HQ's colleagues. She works for over 20 years at The Body Shop, and knows the most about the company! She is the best in telling the Community Fair Trade and our other values stories.
